Dannelle Gutarra Cordero specializes in the Intellectual History of the Caribbean. Her research and teaching interests include the topics of slavery, legislation on human trafficking, race, power relations in colonialism, decolonization, gender, sexuality, and intellectual exchange in the Modern Caribbean and Atlantic World. Her current research project intends to examine the intellectual history of institutions of slavery as emotional economies in the context of the Atlantic World.
