Bio/Description

Christopher M. Kurpiewski is a medieval historian interested in the intersection of religion, power, and gender. He explores the collaborative relationship claimed by male confessors and their “spiritual daughters” who were in pursuit of greater religion during the 13th and 14th centuries. His broader interests include writing pedagogy, the human relationship with nature, and the deep history of genus Homo.
