Alexander Aguayo Email [email protected] Bio/Description Alexander Aguayo explores in his work the intersection of lyric theory, translation studies, and poetry of the Americas. In particular, he studies the idea of voice in contemporary Black women's lyric poetry and its translation in Brazil, Cuba, and the United States. He is also a literary translator working between Spanish and English. His translations, interviews, and book reviews have appeared in Latin American Literature Today, the Massachusetts Review, Words Without Borders, and his translation The Myth of Gravity by Xavier Stanziola is forthcoming from Inti Press.
