Daniel M. Choi is a mixed-methods scientist who works at the intersection of the quantitative and the qualitative. His previous work involved developing machine learning algorithms to automatically label and quantify animal behaviors. His current interests revolve around the rhetoric of expertise and academic disciplines, integrating computational linguistics, cognitive and social psychology, pedagogical theory, and the sociology of knowledge. He also dabbles in fan culture, specifically the rhetoric and sociology of fan fiction.
