Eli Anders is a historian of medicine and public health whose work examines the history of therapeutics and healing spaces in Britain and the US. He is particularly interested in the history of hospitals, cultural constructions of illness, race and medicine, epidemics, and urban public health. His current project focuses on the history of convalescence and convalescent care in modern Britain.
