308 New South

Jorie Hofstra studies emotion, intersubjectivity, and selfhood, with a focus on marginalized bodies and minds. Part of her book project—a study of how people engage with neurocultural discourses in managing their own brain injuries—is published here. Other works in progress include constructing a new concept for the study of empathy, identifying opportunities for access and inclusion in sociological research practices, and collaborating on a study of votive offerings excavated in ancient Greek healing sanctuaries.
