L.C. Santangelo is a historian of the United States with a focus on gender in the 19^th and 20^th centuries. Their first book, Suffrage and the City, traced activists changing urban tactics as they fought to amend the New York State constitution. Other research interests include mapping, digital humanities, and the quantification of gender in the Cold War.
