L.C. Santangelo is a historian of the United States with a focus on gender in the 19th and 20th centuries. Santangelo’s first book, Suffrage and the City, traced activists changing urban tactics as they fought to amend the New York State constitution. Other research interests include mapping, digital humanities, and the boundaries of gender in the Progressive Era.
