Liora Selinger Email [email protected] Office 208 New South Bio/Description Liora Selinger studies 18th- and 19th-century literature and the history of childhood and education. Her research focuses on representations of student-centered learning in British Romantic literature in which child characters and child readers are invited to participate in developing knowledge rather than to passively receive adults’ explanations. Her interest in what children bring to their own learning derives, in part, from her experiences as a kindergarten teacher prior to beginning her Ph.D .in English Literature. She enjoys creating spaces for her undergraduate students to pursue the questions that interest them most by using a variety of approaches, resources, and creative ways of thinking.
