Nina Dewi Toft Djanegara is an anthropologist whose research and writing explores themes of technology, identity, race, and borders. She is currently writing a book about the use of facial recognition in U.S. border enforcement. Previous publications have covered topics such as algorithmic discrimination, biometric surveillance, the politics of datasets, and the driverless car.
