Osha Smith-Gittelman is a political scientist who studies the intersection of exclusionary discourses, political violence, and spatial constructions of belonging. His current project explores the history of "social cleansing" practices in urban Latin America. Other interests of his include critical criminology, the philosophy of science, and cultural representations of the unknown and unfamiliar.
