Patrick W. Moran specializes in modern British literature and culture. He is currently working on a book entitled “Playing Modern,” which looks at how childish things, such as toy theaters, butterfly hunts, and kaleidoscopes, imaginatively impacted the 20th-century novel. In addition to this work, he has written on such topics as hoarding, pickpockets, and spy fiction. His most recent articles have appeared in James Joyce Quarterly and Modern Fiction Studies.
